SOONER IT COMES.

                    The ever expected “Food Safety & Standards Act” is nearing its implementation. The Central Government and the FSSAI are keen in its implementation. The fast developments noticed in the Central Govt. and the effective steps taken by the FSSAI shows the bright feature for the implementation.
The FSSAI has arranged for the fourth meeting of the Central Advisory Committee on 24th of this month, under the Chairmanship of Shri.V.N.Gaur,Chief Executive Officer,FSSAI and Additional Secretary to Govt. of India at Faridabad.

Important items in the Agenda:

Ø     Review of actions to be taken by States/UTs for transition from PFA to Food Safety and Standards Act following the notification of the FSS rules on 05.05.11.

Ø     Information updation system for States/UTs.

Ø     Preparation of States for online licensing registration system.

Ø     Requirement of funds for the implementation of the FSS Act.

ANOTHER STEP AHEAD-ORIENTATION PROGRAMME.
                        FSSAI has organized Orientation Programme for the Food Safety Commissioners of States/UTs at Faridabad from 23rd to 25th of May 2011.
