GUEST LECTURE ON 'FOOD SAFETY MEASURES'.

Sometime back in July-2013, I received a call in my cellphone. Swami Garishtanandha from Coimbatore, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College asked me to come for delivering a guest lecture for three days in the five days' celebration of Golden Jubilee function of their college. I accepted for two days program and delivering guest lecture on "Food Safety Measures" in their Golden Jubilee celebrations.

On my day of arrival, a faculty from the college took me from the railway station to the Guest house 'Saradha Illam'. I was astonished by the atmosphere they have made for their students.

COLLEGE PLAYGROUND.
I remembered my student life, when I took the breakfast along with the students in the hostel. It was so nutritious that they have prepared the food from the products of their own cultivation.

The Golden Jubilee functions were celebrated in September-2013, 10& 12 to 15. On 13th September-2013, I delivered my guest lecture to the students from various colleges in the district who have come for participation regarding "Food Safety Measures".                  I delivered the guest lecture and at the end of my lecture session, 15 minutes was allotted for asking questions to clarify the doubts of the participants.
QUESTION HOUR
Many of the participants had a doubt whether the Food security Bill discussed widely in the media has anything to do with the Food Safety Act. They were not clear about the difference between  FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS ACT,2006 and The  FOOD SECURITY BILL . I clarified them that the food safety measures are taken as per the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, whereas the recent Food Security Bill is for ensuring minimum security of food to all for their livelihood.

QUESTION HOUR
I came down from the stage with satisfaction and Swami Garishtanandha was kind enough to bless me and asked me to come with some more new points for the second day lecutre which is for the faculties of various colleges in the district.
